IAPT - Psychological Support Service

Feeling stressed, anxious, low in mood or depressed?

You can access Psychological Therapies by calling 03005551220 – It’s a fully confidential service and you do not need your GP to refer you. You can self refer/ call the service directly. 

Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT), is an NHS primary care service in England which offers a free and confidential evidence based psychological therapy service for people who are 18 year of age and over and who are feeling stressed, anxious, low in mood or depressed.

Do you want advice from your doctor, self help information or do you have an administrative request (such as a sick note or test results)?

If so use e-consult and get a response before the end of the next working day or sooner.

How does the service work?

  • Complete a simple form about your problem or request
  • Your GPs decide on the best treatment for you
  • The practice responds with advice, a prescription or an appointment
